Best Western Quality Awards 2018

At this year's annual conference, the winners of the Best Western Quality Awards 2018 were honored. The Best Western Plus Konrad Zuse Hotel in Huenfeld, Germany, won first place in the annual awards of the approximately 230 Best Western Hotels in the Central Europe region. In second place followed the Best Western Premier Parkhotel Kronsberg in Hanover, the third place went to the Best Western Premier Hotel alte muehle in Weyhausen near Wolfsburg, both in Germany. This year, the Best Western Hotel Leipzig City Center was honored with the special "Best Improvement Award". Every year, the hotel brand presents the Quality Award to the best placed of the extensive quality tests.


Eschborn, June 11th, 2018. At this year’s Best Western annual conference in Potsdam, Germany, with around 300 participants from all countries in the Central Europe region, Best Western once again presented its Quality Awards. The hotel brand regularly awards the winners of the annual quality tests of all associated hotels. On the winners' rostrum in 2018 are four hotels: First place goes to the Best Western Plus Konrad Zuse Hotel in Huenfeld near Fulda, second place to the Best Western Premier Parkhotel Kronsberg in Hanover. Third place goes to the Best Western Premier Hotel alte muehle in Weyhausen near Wolfsburg. Each of the three hotels achieved a top rating, which was determined by the average ranking in a total of four ranking areas. The Best Western Hotel Leipzig City Center was also honored with the special award for "Best Improvement". This prize is the biggest improvement within the Best Western Group in Central Europe. The three-star superior hotel in Leipzig has received a particularly positive boost in guest and quality ratings following the extensive renovation of its rooms.

As part of the annual on-site quality controls to which around 230 hotels in the Central Europe region in Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic as well as all of the more than 4,000 Best Western Hotels in over 90 countries are subject, the brand checks its globally uniform quality standards. The so-called "Quality Performance Index" serves as a reliable measuring instrument with an ingenious evaluation system. The index takes into account the results of the comprehensive on-site quality inspection. Furthermore, the data from the guest survey system Medallia is used: Guests can use an online form to make a detailed judgement after their hotel stay. Ratings in online booking portals and guest complaints are also included in the evaluation. All results lead to an overall assessment, which serves as the basis for the Quality Awards.
