Travellers’ Choice Awards: Recognized as Best Hotels in their Countries

No less than four hotels of the BWH Hotel Group Central Europe were recognized as the best hotels in their respective countries and with Travellers' Choice Awards 2020. In the ranking of the worldwide rating portal TripAdvisor, THE MADISON Hotel Hamburg (4th place) and Berghotel Rehlegg in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden (16th place) achieve top positions in Germany in the Travellers’ Choice Awards in the category "Top 25 Hotels - Germany". The Harmonie Vienna (12th place) is represented in the ranking for Austria at the "Top 25 Hotels - Austria". And the Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich is named in the Swiss ranking "Top 25 Hotels - Switzerland".

Eschborn, July 31st, 2020. Top ratings among the best hotels in Switzerland, Germany and Austria: Four hotels of the portfolio of BWH Hotel Group Central Europe were honored with this year's Travellers’ Choice Awards at the end of July and achieve positions in the "Top 25 Hotels" ranking for their respective countries: THE MADISON Hotel in Hamburg, Berghotel Rehlegg in Ramsau, The Harmonie Vienna in Vienna and Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich are among the best hotels in their countries from the customer's point of view.

Four hotels at the top of their country rankings

THE MADISON Hotel Hamburg has been awarded the coveted Travellers' Choice Award 2020 by the TripAdvisor platform. The privately owned and managed city hotel in Hamburg, which belongs to the WorldHotels Collection and the BWH Hotel Group, is ranked fourth in the category "Top 25 Hotels - Germany" and is thus one of the top five hotels in Germany from the customer's point of view. The 166-room hotel also achieved a top position in the category "Top 25 Hotels with the best service - Germany" with 5th place. "We are overjoyed and incredibly proud of this great award. The Travellers' Choice Award from TripAdvisor does not reflect the opinion of a single guest, but takes into account the ratings of thousands of our guests. So the award is a fantastic confirmation of our daily work and at the same time a great motivation", says Thomas Kleinertz, General Manager of THE MADISON Hotel Hamburg. The Berghotel Rehlegg in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden has also received a Travellers' Choice Award. The mountain resort in the middle of the Bavarian Alps, which is part of the BW Premier Collection of the BWH Hotel Group, achieves 16th place in the ranking of the "Top 25 Hotels - Germany" and is therefore also one of the best hotels in Germany.

In Austria, the Viennese city hotel The Harmonie Vienna has been awarded the Travellers' Choice Award. The boutique hotel in the center of Vienna's popular “Servitenviertel”, which is part of the BW Premier Collection of BWH Hotel Group, is ranked 12th in the "Top 25 Hotels - Austria" category, making it one of the best hotels in Austria from the customer's perspective.

In addition, a property from the BWH Hotel Group Central Europe portfolio also recognized in the ranking of the best hotels in Switzerland: Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich also received a Travellers' Choice Award. The historical Swiss hotel with 140 years of history, which is part of the WorldHotels Collection of BWH Hotel Group, achieves 23rd place in the ranking of the "Top 25 Hotels - Switzerland" category and is thus one of the best hotels in Switzerland.

Travellers' Choice Awards recognizes the best hotels worldwide

The TripAdvisor portal annually honors the top-rated hotels in various categories with Travellers' Choice Awards based on ratings, overall scores and stored content from travelers around the world. The TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award is based on the number of above-average hotel ratings from guests. TripAdvisor selects hotels worldwide from millions of reviews and divides them into several categories and publish the Top 25 hotel rankings in several countries and regions.
