The Obermain Therme wellness area can be used from check-in to check-out. The VITUS SPA wellness area can be used from arrival to departure. In our VITUS SPA you can enjoy massages and cosmetic treatments with natural cosmetic products and the use of fresh aloe vera leaves. The picturesque surroundings are waiting to be discovered by you with numerous cycling and hiking trails. The spa park and the salt pans invite you to take a leisurely stroll not far from the spa hotel. For the adventurous, activities such as climbing, golfing, SUP, canoeing and much more are available in the surrounding area. You are welcome to hire an e-bike from us.

Adam Riese was born in 1492 in Staffelstein. Contemporaries were Hans Sachs, Albrecht Durer, Martin Behaim, Martin Luther, Nicolaus Copernicus. Through his arithmetic books he gave the ordinary people insight into the importance and applicability of mathematics in many areas of daily life. A new section in the history of Staffelstein began in 1975, when at a depth of 1600 m, the thermal brine source has been developed - with a temperature of over 50 °, the warmest iron and carbonated brine in Bavaria.
